Self Leadership and the Greatness and Power of Gratitude

love and gratitudeYou’ve more than likely been on a path of personal growth for a while now – and you know that gratitude along with personal presence  is a positive behaviour toasted in lots of personal leadership development plans.

Perhaps you already have a gratitude practice like writing in gratitude journals or you make time in your day to think of what you are grateful for or maybe if you are like many – you waited for thanksgiving season to express your gratefulness out loud.

Perhaps you are like most women – you’ve practiced giving thanks in part of your life – yet – not in all of your life.  Have you practiced giving voice to gratefulness in your business or career?  Have you practiced an attitude of gratitude for your health?   Have you practiced gratitude for even your fun and relaxation?

If you have practiced gratitude actively in ALL areas of your life, you probably have already hooked up with the greatness that gratitude brings.

If however, you are looking for momentum & ease in your life – Have you thought of using your expression of gratitude as a resource for abundance?

Abundance is an important part to any self leadership development plan.   By creating outward abundance (proactive gratitude) in your mind, body and spirit; you create a full place to serve others.   Serving from fullness (vs lack) is one of the greatest gifts you can give to the world.   Desiring more and being abundant about it – is such a corner-stone – because with more – you can do more, you can serve longer and in a greater way.

Expressing gratitude proactively is an amazing resource for gaining momentum towards your dreams and desires.  It helps you focus on what you do want and not what you don’t want.  It brings you in to connection with the pure awareness and ‘source”   that gave birth to what you desire.

Experiencing life with a grateful heart brings you into alignment with the divine – and can show you endless possibilities .

Here are some practical tips on how to leverage the power of gratitude:

1.  Do a self assessment.  What are you grateful for?  Do a scan of your entire life.    Your career, Your primary relationship, Your secondary relationships, your home, your friends, your family, your spare time, your finances, your home, your body etc….  What are all the things you are grateful for?

2. Start Expressing.  Developing a daily practice for expressing your self leadership grace and gratitude.   A journal or a daily practice of speaking your gratitude out loud.

3. Start getting more and more present to your gratitude.   What ever it is you are grateful for – bring that more present in your life.  Give it more focus.   Wherever you focus – you will bring more energy to.  Where every you put attention (and behaviours in line with that attention) you will see more movement.

4. Fill each of your “needs” with gratitude and a vibration of love.  Where ever you feel you need – fill that need with gratitude & love – drinking it in.  Fill yourself up with gratitude and love – until you feel completely filled.  To do this – you will first name what your biggest values are – and where within those values – are you feeling lack.  For example:  If  you are feeling a need for communication – fill yourself up with love of communication,  gratitude for communication and  communicate with love.  It won’t be long before it’s reflected back to you.

5. Spend as much time as possible in the gratitude glow.   The more we can stay connected with the awareness that is awareness – and be in a state of gratitude and live in the wonder of individual moments.; the more the divine can show you nothing is missing – and that everything is possible.

It’s the awareness that nothing is missing – that also creates a spark of gratitude.
